Aid’s Hat Trick

More
than 60 lawyers joined Minnesota Governor Tim Pawlenty (R) last winter
in a hockey exhibition to raise awareness and support for LSC-funded
Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services. The second annual “Lawyers
on Ice” event was a puck-whacking success, bringing together attorneys
from throughout the county for a four-game tournament. Minnesota State
Rep. Tom Pugh and former Minnesota Bar Association President Kent
Gernander joined Pawlenty on the ice. The event was not technically a
fundraiser, but organizers “passed around the hat” and netted more
than $5,000 in voluntary contributions from attendees. |
